Stainless Steel

To make it possible for everyone to love and enjoy jewellery I have chosen to offer stainless steel. It is an allergy-free material which almost anyone can wear without problems. Another advantage is that it is extraordinarily strong, which makes it durable as well.

Silver

A beautiful precious metal which everyone knows. We use 925 sterling silver in our pieces. It is such a beautiful warm and light colour. The term 925 silver (or sterling silver) signifies the amount of silver, as a percentage, in jewellery. This indicates that the jewellery is made of 92,5 % pure silver and 7,5% of another material (in most cases copper).

Why don’t you use pure silver? It is way too soft, flexible, and delicate, which consequently will damage it more easily. The second type of metal is being added to avert the delicate properties of pure silver.

Do pay attention to jewellery which is silver plated. These pieces only contain a layer of silver on top of other materials and are not fully made of sterling silver. At Alexia’s we only offer fully sterling silver jewellery because we want you to have jewellery of high quality that you can love and enjoy for a long time.

Gemstones and minerals

All our jewellery contains gemstones and/or minerals. Every piece is unique, which makes it so incredibly special. Currently over 5000 distinct types of gemstones and minerals are known. In a lot of cases a specific type of gemstone or mineral is found within a certain geological area. However, certain types are found at multiple places around the world.
